Auld & Company’s Approach
Auld & Company’s approach to project management is based on the PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge) developed by the Project Management Institute. This methodology outlines an approach to project management across four phases, and strongly emphasizes stakeholder engagement throughout the life-cycle of each. Auld & Company has defined a set of tools to assist in completing the four stages of a project: initiation, planning, implementation and close-out. These tools build off of previous methodolgies and assist in the monitoring and advancement of a project to achieve its targeted scope, timeline and budget. The Auld & Company team has extensive experience with project management and great ability in decomposing complex projects into the necessary milestones they require to achieve success. Auld & Company brings real-world knowledge and business experience to ensure projects are managed efficiently and effectively.
The Project Life Cycle
Initiation
Engage with stakeholders to obtain a strong understanding of stakeholder expectations. Identify and capture relevant project information to facilitate strong communication activities.
Planning
Clearly define the project scope and associated deliverables. Capture all work required for the project to achieve desired results. Develop a realistic timeline, establish project teams and ensure adequate support structures are put in place. Focus on issue and risk identification and mitigation.
Implementation
Assist the project team by guiding the activities required for successful implementation. Accurately monitor opportunities and issues throughout the implementation phase in order to optimize the projected results.
Closeout
Monitor the project and evaluate how successful its implementation was. Engage with stakeholders to ensure there are no outstanding items and that deliverables met expectations. Prepare the necessary documentation to ensure the official project is completed.
