Professional Profile:
Shane O’Farrell is a Senior Consultant with Auld & Company. He has over 5 years of management and creative problem solving in a variety of industries including municipal government, food services, financial services, transportation, and client services. Shane has consistently provided viable and sustainable solutions to clients in a number of functional capacities including business process redesign/reengineering, strategic planning, project management, and change management. Further, he has focused on aligning corporate strategies to that of core operations, ensuring organizations provide the support and resources necessary to maintain and grow their business while maintaining the flexibility and adpatability to respond to industry and/or customer trends.
As a Senior Consultant, Shane has proven himself a valuable member of the guiding coalitions of his clients. He has successfully managed a BPR and Change Management engagement on an $8M change management initiative related to a comprehensive ERP implementation for a municipal government. His strong understanding of operations management and project management enabled him to propose an innovative Performance Support Office concept for a client's conventionally underutilized PMO - ensuring divisional projects would be set-up for success. Shane has led the development of strategic project prioritization and monitoring processes for a municipal government in which he exhibited great success in being responsible for all data integrity and portfolio planning, development and improvement of prioritization process working closely with a third party, project management for the engagement and analysis of all prioritization outputs. As Project Lead for BPR and Requirements Collection for the planned replacement of legacy systems within a municipal government, Shane was able to successfully analyze three separate circulation processes affecting up to eight external stakeholder groups and redesign the processes so they required fewer resources, reduced total circulation time and circulated documents to groups in priority sequence.
Shane holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the coveted Richard Ivey School of Business and received his undergraduate degree in Biological Science from the University of Calgary. Shane focuses on leadership and is quick to step up to help clients realize their full potential.
